A lazy day of reading, writing, and completing some small tasks makes for a brief blog post!
Walt and I slept late and rose to a cool, gray, drizzly day. He continued to rebuild a computer for himself using my MacBook Air, his back-up drive, and an external drive purchased in Vancouver, and, when it was my turn to use my laptop, I read and answered e-mail and managed to finish and publish the blog post summarizing our travels and experiences in the Netherlands and Belgium, and to import and include some of the photos I’d taken (a very time-consuming process when data speeds are slow!).
Walt walked up to the shopping area in Port Hardy where the Save-On is located so that he could buy some tomatoes (forgotten on Saturday) and could pick up some clip-on sunglasses to replace those that we cannot find anywhere on Braesail after many searches. After his walk, he took a long nap while I continued to use the MacBook; we shared chips and cheese dip in the comfortable cabin after he awoke; he prepared a wonderful salmon dinner (Save-On was offering fresh local salmon for a very nice price); and he continued to read his boating magazines while I continued to work on my e-mail and blog posts following galley clean-up. We did some research and planning using tides-and-currents tables and several cruising guides, assembled an tentative itinerary for the next two weeks of travel that will take us to Vancouver, finished the day with exotic irish-cream-and-biscotti ice cream, and again found our bed rather early.
